Topics in this session

This set includes gap method, signal priority, grip, blindspot change, night visibility, markings, visor, eye incident. Questions ask you to recognise a risk and choose a suitable response. Before answering, consider who could enter your path, which control applies, and how much time and space you have. Understanding that decision is more useful than memorising a letter.

Connect knowledge with safe practice

Work through rider fitness, protective equipment, bike setup, visibility, traffic observation, following space, surface grip, night riding, passengers, luggage, maintenance and emergency decisions. Practise braking and avoidance skills with an instructor; a written explanation cannot develop the physical skill by itself.

Start with the handbook chapter that you find most difficult, then try a short revision session. Check a missed answer against the referenced page and explain the reason in your own words. Use the next set to encounter other situations in the same category. The motorcycle, truck and bus questions do not repeat within or across their category sets. Each new session gives you different scenarios to revise.

Examples from this test

  • You reach a roadside reference point before finishing a three-second count behind the vehicle ahead. What should you do?
  • You signal a lane change. What must happen before moving?
  • Why are abrupt inputs risky on a slippery surface?

The examples above are drawn from this actual set. Their explanations appear when you answer in the quiz. Review both wrong and correct choices: a correct guess can still reveal a topic that needs more study.

Study source and local arrangements

The reference is RTA Motorcycle Handbook, 7th edition (January 2016), with links to the edition published by Emirates Driving Institute. The answers use physical PDF page numbers. The motorcycle upload was a partial 19-page selection, so the complete 2016 institute-published handbook supplements its missing chapters. These are historical study sources; confirm current rules and course material with your institute.

General safety knowledge can be shared across emirates while licensing processes, booking, fees, route restrictions and infrastructure remain local. This practice does not certify permission to drive another vehicle category. No historical numerical fine or eligibility rule is presented as a current requirement.

Does one test cover the whole handbook?

No. Each session has 25 questions. Study all 6 sets in this category and read the handbook itself. Topic representation is not exhaustive testing of every paragraph, diagram, sign or practical skill.
