Heavy truck practice test 1 is a 25-question study session about load security, stopping room, vehicle checks, visibility and safe manoeuvring. It is independently written and does not reproduce the official RTA Knowledge Test.

Before you start

Read the RTA Truck and Bus Handbook for the heavy vehicle category. This set presents one question at a time with four choices. Your first answer is marked immediately. Use Back to review it before submitting. The result page shows the marked answer, a short explanation and a link to the handbook for further reading.

Think like a heavy vehicle driver

Consider the whole vehicle, not only the cab. A truck carrying cargo has different stopping and turning needs from a car. Check the load, vehicle condition and route before departure. During a road situation, identify the people or vehicles hidden in blind areas and leave enough space to respond to a change ahead.

Do not memorise a letter. Ask why a response preserves stability, visibility or a safe gap. If the answer surprises you, return to the handbook and discuss the situation with your instructor. A repeated practice score alone is not evidence of safe operation.

Official test and further revision

RTA and your registered institute provide the current Dubai training, booking and test requirements. Our 25-question length is a revision format, not a statement of the official paper length. When you finish, review every answer and return to the heavy truck guide for the next topic.
